Classic Mustang - When 72 Mach1 is moving you can hear the engine in the radio

Hello everyone, I have a question. When my 72 Mach1 is idleing there is no engine interference in the radio and Cd player but when the car is moving you can hear the engine in the radio. What can cause this and how do you cure it? Do I need to change plugs and wires. What causes this to happen?

Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

A real '72 "R" code ??! very cool...... I'd put up with the static and listen to the solid lifters...... ...

Re: Question

You may need new wires with radio supression or you may be missing a ground wire or have a bad ground somewhere...

Re: Question

Check to see if someone has removed the condensor on the voltage regulator. It is about 3/4 " in diam and 1" long, with one wire that plugs into cable at your regulator..
