Hi Tim, sorry about that, this part in your original post:

Where you seem to be mentioning; filing and sanding and proper fit, and
"still don't look right" and "gaps that I would like to avoid" and bondo
and fiberglass, all lead me to believe you were having issues with the
look and fitment...
