How far off is it?

Have you loked at a V8 mustang and comparied parts.

The 351 and the 289 should ine up the same.
Maybe it's your motor mounts.

Hi I have a 1965 mustang fastback. It had a six with a three speed tranny, I just dropped in a 351 with a four speed from a 1969 cougar and the clutch equalizer bar (Z bar) wont line up. Need help. Thanks
