The car has some light right front damage that occurred in 1973. It was then parked in a yard in TX. The car was brought to central Indiana in the 80's and stored inside until I purchased it in 2005. It is an all original car with even the original exhaust still on the car. The odometer shows 89K miles. The only rust I have found is in the front floors where the windows were left down who knows how many years ago. There is rust in the front apron battery area and some in the rear deck lid. The fenders, doors and body are rock solid. The cowl is near perfect with no rust. I have replaced the front passenger floor. I have the replacement panels for the driver's floor, right front fender extension, and radiator cross member which are yet to be installed. All the glass is good except the windshield which is cracked. The interior is complete but will need to be redone. I have also amassed a large number of original parts for the car including a turn signal hood, 2 original 68 fenders in nice condition, AC ducts/control, 4 speed console (black), and all the parts for a Granada front power disc brake conversion. I have out of a 1988 GT a 5.0 long block on an engine stand, T-5 5 speed transmission, bell housing, and transmission cross member. The condition of the engine and transmission is unknown with 96K miles (the car was totaled from a tree falling on it). I'll include the Fab-Tech rotisserie I purchased for the car. This is a Mustang specific unit I purchased from a Shelby restorer in Ohio who retired. I have a 3" thick "baby book" with all the paperwork on the car including title work, Marti reports, receipts for parts and pictures documenting the vehicle. I've purchased so many small parts I can't begin to document them here, such as a date code correct Autolite 4300 carburetor, Holley 4 bbl intake and 2 Holly 600 carbs, headers, Ford engine dolly, Ford factory maintenance manual, 68 clutch/brake pedal assembly, etc.
My plan was to save the original engine/trans and use the late model 5.0 with a 5 speed.
A small sample of photos of the car can be seen at http://s710.photobucket.com/albums/ww107/deo1929/. I have started disassembly of the car and some of the pictures don't reflect that. What I've taken off has been bagged, tagged and boxed or put in plastic containers.
The car is located in the Pittsboro area northwest of Indianapolis. It has a good Indiana title and is actually insured and registered with an "ELEANR" vanity plate. I would like to get $8,500 for the whole lot, which is a deal if you added up the cost of selling or buying everything separately on eBay, craigslist, etc. I literally have almost everything for you to do a rotisserie restoration. I just can't seem to make the time with work and family responsibilities. If I can't get price for the car, I'll just keep it until I have the time, or the money to send it to a restoration shop.
If you're interested and would like to see the car, especially if you're coming this weekend to the National Mustang Show at O'Rielly Raceway Park (I'm only 5 miles away) in Indy, give me a call to set up an inspection.
Thanks.
Dennis
