RE: [Classic Mustang] Vent windows

I did mine in place without removing the unit. Additionally, I "cheated" by just weatherstrip gluing the piece in place rather than using the rivets.  I took off the old strip, drilled out the old rivets, cleaned it well, then applied 3M weatherstrip glue to both the new weatherstrip and the vent window frame, let it dry for a few minutes then clamped the new piece in place, left it overnight.

Worked like a charm and was much easier.  Try to find the black 3M glue rather than the yellow.  Black is easier to clean up and will "disappear" should any seep out from behind the weatherstrip.

Good luck!

Subject: [Classic Mustang] Vent windows

Does anyone know how to replace the rivetted in rubber seal on the vent windows? Mine leak like crazy. Do you have to remove the whole assembly or can you do it while they are still in place?
