minutes or overnight or what? Try changing the fuel filter. I've seen
clogged filters behave like this. It might be a vapor lock (were the
proper gaskets installed between the carb and the intake manifold?). It's
also possible the "like new" carb has a sticking float in it or something
like that. When it stalls, if somebody pumps the gas pedal while you stare
down the neck of the carb, do you see a spray of gasoline and have a strong
smell of gasoline? If not, the system is fuel-starved. If you do see the
spray and smell gas, it's an ignition issue; it sounds like maybe your coil
is causing a problem (maybe it's too close to the exhaust manifold and is
overheating).
