The front edge is radiused and sticks out noticably further than the smaller 1972 urethane bumper which had a "notched" area where the front license plate sat below it.
The front fenders are different on the 1973's for the urethane bumper as well as the rear quarter panels are also
different in they had urethane extensions and a steel filler panel between the rear bumper and the body.
The 1971 had a front chrome steel bumper with I believe the Mach 1's having the urethane bumper like the
1972's had.
I have a pair of 1973 Mach 1's and a 1973 convertible, so I'm very familiar with the 1973's.

Subject: [Classic Mustang] bumper difference between 71-72 and 73?
I know the '73 got the 5mph bumper, but is there a difference between the "color coordinated" '71-72 (ie Mach I, decor group) bumpers and the '73?
I've been looking at pics, and I don't see a difference.
