I concur. Also, the lower ball joint is the least stressed of the two.
The upper carries all the weight .... When I did my 71, I replaced
all four A arms...... a lot less work. Plus I found a pair of NOS
Ford service part upper arms with the factory correct 3 riveted
ball joints....
