It has a 289 (C Code) Auto, Console, A/C car. Springtime yellow, white vinyl top with parchment interior. Manual Steering, Manual Disc brakes. It is very solid underneath. Seams on doors, deck lid and hood are perfect. Frame rails and floors are solid as a rock. Came from AZ. It does have couple of small rust holes and needs a paint job. I have been driving here and there. Runs and shifts great. It will need paint.
Can anyone give me a ball park cost as to what it may cost to restore? I am not expecting 100 point perfect car, just a very nice presentable car. I will do most, if not all the the work myself, pull the engine, tranny, remove interior and strip everything off for bodywork and paint. I will do the body work and paint myself... and then will put it all back together myself. No significant engine or tranny work..
I have an all original (including paint) 69 XR7 that is my main car and my son has a 70 Ranchero 351C 4V 4 speed and between the three cars I am trying to come to a resolution if I should sell the 66 coupe or not. I would like to know what your thoughts are.
Thanks!
