agreed - either the positive terminal lost battery or the
points/condenser lead off the coil broke or is shunted to ground
somewhere. Either would account for a loss of spark after this R&R.

It is unlikely... although not unheard of ... to have an electrical part
fail coincidently. (It does happen. DAMHIKT!)

First thing is to get the spark back - and Walt's suggestion of jumping
the battery to the + terminal on the coil will put the juice back into
the system. With voltage there, check the high voltage output of the
coil for spark. IF there is still none, then he's going to have to
investigate the feed from the distributer and work backwards from there.
