Re: [Classic Mustang] I don't own a classic Mustang, but...

Hi Kathy,
I too am a group lurker...

Ah, yes the ones that got away...
I still think about my 71 Mach Cleveland Block I was in the middle of a frame off restore when I moved out of town for a new job.  I came back one weekend and Dad had junked the car to "clear the cluttered garage"!!!  Oh, to have that car back...

My two boys and I are now slowly progressing on a 67 coupe.  We have most of mechanics done, and are now moving to the body work.  Some day...

I've belonged to this group for awhile, but am not sure I've ever posted.

My first car was a 1966 Mustang coupe, sauterne gold with pony interior. I was 22 at the time and had just gotten my first job. The car belonged to my aunt and she was selling it (She replaced it with a 1974 red Mustang II).

Sadly, the car is long gone. I now have a 1998 silver Mustang convertible and a red 1993 Mustang GT hatchback. I drive the convertible and my daughter drives the hatchback. I also have a Buick Rendevous which is much better for driving in bad weather and carting lots of stuff around in.

I still love my Mustangs.

Kathy from Illinois
