Anything after Mustang II (fox body) until 1993 will be four lug stock
wheel wise.

94 through 04 yes without spacers, they fit amazingly well, almost like
they were meant to. They didn't make Cobra wheels (in five lug) smaller
than 17"

The SN65 project was a modern Cobra chassis (if I recall it was a 01
DOHC or possibly an 03 terminator been a few years since I read that
guys build thread) thus the reason for the SN in the 65.

05 and up yes as well you'll need 1" spacers. My 65 in the pic attached
below has OEM ford 2005 V6 Hildebrand clones that are 16".

I may have to move up to 17" to retrofit cobra discs and calipers, which
is a shame because I think the 16" wheel strike a nice balance between
updated looks and filling the 65's wheel wells, and not being so big
that they are very obviously modern wheels. In other words IMO they are
subtle and only a Mustang guy will know what's going on with them.
