Re: [Classic Mustang] 65 mustang up grade

Check with Fatman Fabrications  http://www.fatmanfab.com/.  They have a front end mod kit that uses some of the '95 parts.  The biggest problem in doing a wholesale swap would be the '95 k-member.  Find a way to bolt that in and keep the strut orientation correct and you will be doing well.  the early mustangs have 27.5" between the frame rails.  The fox bodies have 32.25 inches.  Not sure what track width is between the two.  would need to measure between the drum/rotor flanges and see how much of a difference there is.

May also have to change the oil pan at that point.  The fox body 5.0 have a front and rear sump in them.

I plan on ordering one of the kits from them very soon. Meant to do it a while back but the tune on my '87 got in the way.

Might also want to check out DVS restorations http://www.dvsrestorations.com/products.html.  They have a conversion kit.  Have been meaning to get up there and check them out, only 70 miles north of here, but things keep getting in the way.

If you had waited 6 months, would have the front end under mine and would tell you how it turned out.

Good luck!

Mahalo!!
