I have a 65 plus 71 and 73 Mach 1s. They all have same design torsion
rods to hold the trunk lid open. So you are saying that for the 69-70
they propped it up with a stick. Doesn't sound right.
But if so I would add gas rods. I am doing that with a couple vans that
have hood props.
