Another way to strip a car is to use a razorblade. I helped a painter strip a 73 convert. and it went fairly quickly. It takes a little practice to get the angle and stroke and is best with a longer holder. I have since seen a demostration of it at a Corvette rally, I would have been reluctant to try it on fiberglass but it worked well. When the angle is right the paint practically comes off in sheets.
