Just because the car starts does not indicate that there is nothing wrong with the switch. But, more importantly, do you have 12VDC at the fuse? From the fuse, the voltage is sent to the various locations you have described. Since they are all affected, chances are it is the fuse, or the voltage supplying the fuse. The fuse is fed from the ignition switch (black wire / green stripe). From there, black wire with yellow strip from the switch via a few connectors to the starter solenoid.

Even though my car is a '71 Mustang if I turn the ignition switch too farI get the same problem. Once you start the car, back off the switch a tad.mike----- Original Message -----From: rjs985@yahoo. comSent: Sunday, March 01, 2009 10:22 AMSubject: Re: [Classic Mustang] Light troubleI had the same problem w my 68 check your ignition switch 1st make sure its working correctly let me know I will advise you of next step if needed

Some of my 68 mustang lights don't work. The turn signal, backup lights, PRND light, and radio don't work. They all go thru a 14 fuse which is intact. The flasher lights, headlights, and tail lights work. Any suggestions of where to look and or how to solve this problem..
