Re: [Classic Mustang] Light trouble

I will need to check this in next couple of days.  I am a little confused.  I see the black/green wire coming from the switch.  Will have to trace it.  I see a yellow wire with black strip--not sure where it is coming from.  Doesn't the starter solenoid supply the 12 VDC.  Since I have continuity across the fuse should there be 12VDC across the fuse via of the switch?  Also is there any reason I couldn't remove the instrument cluster so I would have more room and not have to stand on my head and try locating these wires?  Sure appreciate you help

Just because the car starts does not indicate that there is nothing wrong with the switch.  But, more importantly, do you have 12VDC at the fuse?  From the fuse, the voltage is sent to the various locations you have described.  Since they are all affected, chances are it is the fuse, or the voltage supplying the fuse.  The fuse is fed from the ignition switch (black wire / green stripe).  From there, black wire with yellow strip from the switch via a few connectors to the starter solenoid.

Even though my car is a '71 Mustang if I turn the ignition switch too far
I get the same problem.  Once you start the car, back off the switch a tad.

Some of my 68 mustang lights don't work.  The turn signal, backup lights, PRND light, and radio don't work.  They all go thru a 14 fuse which is intact.  The flasher lights, headlights, and tail lights work.  Any suggestions of where to look and or how to solve this problem..
