First, the motor. We want a "streetable" 347... hence the 600 cfm carb choice... Kind walked into the 347 parts and a 68 block, so it just seemed logical. Putting an F4B intake on it (I like the retro stuff just from keeping it more realistic)
We had heard about the aircraft stripper... and the guy we purchased the car from had done the hood down to bare metal that way, so we figured we out to take the rest down... but that original stuff is holding pretty well. Might be that we have to do the rest that way too... or just sand off that original coat and see what we are looking at, since we haven't seen any of that yet.
So far we are having a great time with all of it!
