There is another steering accessory that I hesitate mentioning at this
point in time. I have a 65 convertible that I got in Dec 64. I put a
steering knob on it - those things were socially acceptable back then.
I used to drive dirt roads dodging ruts. One time I was in the left
lane of a freeway, went around a blind curve, and there was a box spring
mattress completely blocking my lane and traffic in the right lane. I
whipped it between to highway markers onto a dirt shoulder and back onto
the pavement between more posts. That knob made that maneuver possible.
My wife sat quietly until the episode was over.
Well the knob died. And now I thinking power and the fastest turning I
can find, or get a new knob.
