Re: [Classic Mustang] 71 mustang Mach1 seat platforms

One more comment: when doing my '71 Mach, I think I learned a heckuva lot
more restoration skills than I did when restoring my '66. With that car,
you can build one from the ground up. With the '71, you learn exactly how
to use vinyl dyes, basic metalworking, advanced scrounging for parts (I
long for the days many, many, years ago when my Dad and I would go to junk
yards and pull parts we needed off cars for $1 each, you pull). You learn
to get very resourceful, in finding that one perfect part you need (for
example, the correct hose from the PCV valve to the back of the intake
manifold on a 351C is sold in EXACTLY one place - Glazier Mustang). This
is especially true when you're doing a concourse type restoration as I do.

I guess what I'm saying is, I was very proud of my '66, but I think I have
even more reason to be proud of my '71.
