Re: [Classic Mustang] '67 Heater Core Removal

I believe you remove it from inside the pass compartment. Probably remove the entire heater box & the box is held together with about 7 clips.  More work on a AC car

Subject: [Classic Mustang] '67 Heater Core Removal

I could use a little help.

My 67 Mustang Coupe has sprung a leak in the heater core.

To replace this it appears that I need to pull the heater unit away
from the firewall and get it past the 289.

Before I start I was hoping to touch base with someone who has done
this before as I have a couple of questions.

Will the heater unit come away from the firewall and up past the motor
without removing any parts from the engine (such as the valve cover)?

Are there any particular tricks to removing this unit that would make
the process easier?

Thanks for the assistance,

Craig
