RE: [Classic Mustang] Resistor wire ?

Thanks Phil, I will double check this wiring..there is a wire going from the ignition side of the coil to the firewall..need to check under the dash to the ignition switch.

John, as explained in Flicks post it is the wire going to the ignition side of the coil to the ignition switch.  Only the visible end of the wire under the dash and by the coil will be pink.  The rest of it will be covered by a black "rough fibrous" insulation that can easily crack and fall off the wire.  If the car runs, and has the original harness, then it should be easy to locate, and probably runs with the wires to your engine temp sensor and oil pressure sensor.  In its new condition the coil end of the wire had a push on nipple for the coil terminal.  Over the years some of these have been converted to ring terminals.  Phil

Subject: [Classic Mustang] Resistor wire ?

Does anyone know where I can locate the Pink (16A) resistor wire that
is supposed to be between the ignition switch and the ignition coil ?
This is for a 1968 Mustang Coupe, 289, 2BBL.
