Re: [Classic Mustang] Resistor wire ?

I think the resistor wire is pretty short. It runs from the back of
the ignition switch to a connector under the dash. A regular wire runs
from the engine side of the firewall to the coil. The resistor wire is
larger in diameter then the other wires under the dash and has fabric
insulation on it. It's purpose is to cut the voltage to the points when
the engine is running to prenevt them from pitting.
