Re: [Classic Mustang] Re: Funny

Hey, I have a story like this. I'll try keep it short. My oldest daughter
takes my vehicle (not the Mustang, thank goodness) to a outdoor music
weekend concert, it overheats on the way home so she fills the radiator
with antifreeze/water. Soon after it stops running and there's a light
brown foam, like cake batter, coming from every orifice. I figure the it
cracked a piston or whatever and this oil/water mix was the result. Had it
towed home and went to bed, while laying there thinking back over what she
said it occurred to me that she said that she had removed the radiator cap
and filled it to the top with the water mixture. Only problem is this
vehicle, 1990 Jeep Cherokee didn't have a radiator cap,, only the overflow
reservoir. So up I get and take her out to the garage and ask her to show
me where she put in all the water/antifreeze. She says "why don't you show
me where I was supposed to put it"! I say "no you show me first". Sure
enough she points to the valve cover. She had filled the whole motor with
water/antifreeze right to the top.

Well to make a long story longer, I had to flush the motor and vacuum
"batter" off the top of the pistons several times. Cleaned the spark plugs
many times but, in the end, that straight 6 ran as good as it did before.
Never burned any oil or anything. That was 10 years ago and I still laugh
when I think of it, and don't think I don't bring it up to the daughter
every once and awhile for a laugh. Thanks Jeff
