Thanks Curtis. The air cleaner issue should have occurred to me because I had to slightly modify my air cleaner to clear the straight bar which I bought around 1976. I guess it wasn't much of a problem back in the 1960s as this was something I saw first used on 65 and 66 GT350s which in standard form had the factory chrome 289 Hipo air cleaner.
