RE: [Classic Mustang] Looking for 71 mach 1 parts

But the point that seems to be missed here is the 5th
digit of the VIN is "H" which translates to a 351 - 2V
engine.

Someone had to be there before you, even thought it
may not look like it.

I have a 1973 Q code Mach 1 which is the CJ 351
with 4V and 4 bolt main engine. Somewhere in the life of
my car, the car was stolen and the original engine ripped out.
The owners recovered the car and I'm guessing couldn't / didn't
afford putting the CJ back in the car, instead had a 302 dropped
in it's place with all appropriate brackets, exhaust manifolds, etc.

It is a CJ car by it's VIN # and the staggered rear shocks, C6 trans,
fatter front sway bar, etc. I now have a complete 351-CJ motor to
put in the car when I restore it.

Actually it came with a 351C 4V/FMX. And a back half vinyl roof. I
stripped it to the tub, and found no clue that anyone had been there
before me.
