I seem to recall this or a similar story on this forum a year or so back!

Oh god, I have a horror story about door dings. I left work very sick one day. I just wanted to sleep so bad it was terrible. (Had bronchitis). I took a nap in the back seat of my Mustang in a K-Mart parking lot waiting on my appointment that was close by. I woke up to something banging on the passenger door of my car. I got up out of the seat about the 3rd time it happened and saw this huge woman putting groceries in her car beside mine. She was so big she could hardly fit between them. Every time she bent over to put bags in her back seat, her butt shoved her car door into mine. I yelled a few not so very nice words at her and she hurriedly got in her car and left before I could get out. Luckily it didn't really do much to my door, but I can't believe how someone would just do that on purpose. I can see a door getting away from you or an accident, but when you just keep on that's just mean. She didn't realize I was laying in the back seat at first and I was watching her. The last time I saw her do it, she never even looked up and I know she heard it.

Park far away & keep evenly between the stripes-even though many people cannot. So you may have to walk a distance. I wouldn't recommend taking up more than one space as it may tick someone else off.

I let my son drive my car.
It's part of the carrot and stick school of parenting.
Naturally, his friend rearends him with is 2 week old Camry.
What kind of HS kid gets a new Camry?
Should they are nice cars for Yo Momma.
But honestly, it's not the type of car I would have ever considered buying my kid.
Ok, so the Camry's got $5K of damage and my paint is scratched.
I don't care that much because the other guy has to fix it.
Which leads me to the real issue.
I was looking at my car and saw 2 nicks in the paint where it looks like someone their door into my car.
Is their any way to protect our cars against this kind of parking lot damage?
Mitch
