Re: [Classic Mustang] Ding protection

The only answer I have found so far to combat this problem is the addition of body side moldings applied at the belt line. I installed a white molding many years ago and I not only like the way it looks, it has saved me from countless dings. Body side moldings, door edge guards, and fender lip moldings, if color keyed and applied neatly can add something to the appearance of the car (although chrome seems best for wheel lips) and afford halfway decent protection. In the (almost) 33 years I have owned the car no one has ever made a negative comment about putting something on my car which was not originally available from Ford but then again when I first did it there was no such thing as a Classic Mustang, it was just an 11 year old Ford.
