Why stop there, the 351W is certainly less worthy of spending energy on
improving than a 390... nah make that a 400m Wait never mind make that a
427 CJ... or..

Point is you can say that any engine of smaller displacement is less
worth the time energy and money because there's always something larger
you can start out with.

289's are cheap, performance parts for it are cheap and common because
of the 5.0 aftermarket (and yeah the 351)... build a 7500 RPM solid
lifter 289 with an IR intake and 6 webers. That'll put a smile on your
face (unless you don't have a pulse) and in the end you'll have
something that's not in every trotted up Mustang you ever saw... Like
its big brothers the 302 and 351, and the various strokers.
