Re: [Classic Mustang] Replacing 66' Coil springs, HD or Stock?

Terry,

Sorry to answer a question with a question, but what do you plan to
do with the car ? Daily driver ? Track car ?

Also what are "HD V8 coil springs" ? does the vendor specify a
spring rate, e.g. X lbs/inch ?

I've been running 600 lb/inch springs in my 68 for years... which is
great for handling, but in my old age (and seemingly deteriorating
roads near where I live) I now would prefer a softer ride -- but
definitely not as soft as stock.

Also, remember if you cut the springs at all it will increase the
spring rate, so you may want to factor that in as well.

I run stock rate springs in the back... but with the Koni red
shocks. With the live axle back there, even when I was younger, I
did not think I could take any more stiffness in the rear suspension.
