Well said,  Please don't put anything other than paint in the immediate underside.  It will create more work for you or the next person who may wish to repaint.  Paint is easier to clean.  Evercoat & those products are a nightmare to strip.

I agree with Simon.

When I painted the fiberglass rear deck lid on my '68, I went with the
body color. I gave some thought to in-fill painting the sections
between the braces. First I painted both sides. Then I taped off the
braces and used black enamel there with a small amount of flattening
agent, so to not appear shiny. It looks great - If you decide to do
something with the bottom side, take your time and detail it the way you
would the top.

Don't try and use something other than paint - it won't hold up.
