If the car is a 64 1/2 or a very early 65 model you'll need a tool for pushing out the retaining clip. They are available at almost any parts store and are inexpensive. The tool works on both door handles and window cranks as they use the same clip. The first time you use it you may have a little difficulty seating the tool in the clip but after you do the first one you'll have no more trouble and will get the remianing clips off in seconds.
