According to Bob Mannel's Mustang and Ford Small Block V-8 Ford reverted back to the road draft tubes briefly in 1964 these ware mainly late May-June '64 cars. The Valve covers had no holes for oil filler or PCV valves.
Isn't that book about teh greatest if you are into small block history and the what and where the engine changed. I bought it at Lowe's Speedway in 1995 and have ear marked almost every page.
