I have the exact same car, a '66 289 Coupe with manual brakes. About two
years ago I bought one of the conversion kits so I could install a dual
master with power brakes. The installation was easy, with only the lines
being a little challenging. They work fantastically and I would highly
recommend going this route...it's easy and not too expensive. Much safer
