[Classic Mustang] Finally

Hi everyone.  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.  I am so happy!  I drove my car to today for the first time in forever without anything messing up.  Over the past 3 months or so I have been slowly replacing all the wiring.  They had gotten old and brittle and some melted under the dash.  When I started looking at those, I realized how bad all the wiring was.  Well, it is 44 years old.  I thought I had it all last week and then the battery was dead.  I went back to get one more little set of wires that went to the alternator Saturday.  One of those broke in half when I touched it.  I had the alternator tested and it worked, but the bearings sounded bad in it.  I went ahead and got a new one.  I haven’t replaced it in about 19 years.  I traded the battery today and got a replacement at no charge due to the warranty.  Now, it is drivable again!  I need to replace the steering gear box and rebuild the 4 speed that used to be in it and then it’s all cosmetic stuff.  Well the motor has well over 300,000 on it, but still has 60 pound of oil pressure idling and sounds great.  It’s never been built, so I think I’ll see how long it will go.
