[Classic Mustang] 64.5 260

I recently purchased an original owner 64-1/2 Mustang with a 260 engine.  The engine fill tube is located at the right front of the engine, however all of the literature I am reading show the oil filler in the left valve cover.  Anyone have info on this?  Thanks.  Phil
