Subject: [Classic Mustang] getting a couple more years out of an old Convertible top?
Wondering if any of the members here have any experience with old tired
tops? My 65's white top needs replaced for sure, I thought is was vinyl
when I was cleaning last time but it's obviously not, as the cleaning
must have taken off what was left of the water proofing. the inner
fabric has worn spots and gets so moist from exterior rain that is has
started to mildew.
As I said it will be replaced when things are going better, but for now
I need to get another year or two out of it. Not sure what kind of top
it is. The fabric inside is brown, and outside it looks a lot like vinyl.
I've heard of some good exterior protectants like 303 fabric guard.
Anyone here have any products they particularly like?
