Jim, I'll look over those areas a little better, but so far every area I have looked at looks surprisingly solid. I am about to make an offer, and we'll see how it goes from there. Thanks. Phil

Some other areas to check. The area where the firewall meets the fender aprons. I too have a 64 1/2 that has been garaged for most of it's life. Most of the time it was raced (hill climbs and drag strip). not a lot of miles but a LOT of rust. No under coating. I have been very surprised by the amount of rust for a car that did not get out that often.
Also check the rear quarter and tub interface and the rear spring areas as well.
If it is as solid as you mention, you will have a VERY good foundation to start from!!!
